OCTROLLEYFEST!!!!!!!!
This year's Octrolleyfest has incorporated our Hilldale Dedication Ceremony into their annual event. We are planning quite a few things and will need your help!!!!

What we are planning , in a nutshell, is
At about 9 am we will have 2 trolleys one our VIP Trolley "Ride with the Stars" leaving West Philly for a historic tour of the Trolley line. The VIP Trolley has riding (confirmed) Stan Hochman, Ed Bacon ( former Hilldale Bat-boy), The remaining Phila Stars, and Billy V, Vargus. Not confirmed, Gov. Ed Rendell but a 85% chance. and hopefully a Phillie or two (working with the Phillies now)

per Scott Maits our trolley expert
"Ride With The Stars" ....sit in a seat next to living legend...on a fabulous world class historical tour of some of the most historic communities in these tate. ....The following VIP car will be on the same route but on a relaxed tour specifically for railfan photographers and visitors on their way to the main events. There will be several timed pick up points and numerous photo opportunities enroute with both cars. "

We are using 2 authentic rebuilt 1947 Art Deco steamlined PCC model trolleys rented from Septa.
To earn money to pay for the Trolleys we are selling tickets to ride with the " Stars" for $100 a piece. Please let your rich relations know...
The second trolley will have a nominal fee but have the same tour.
Those on the VIP trolley will then have a reception at the Darby Library until 11am.
There will be two parades running from both Boroughs
Yeadon - down church to Chester aves to the Hilldale Plaza , It will be lead with a rubber tire trolley ( trolley bus)
with Yeadon dignitaries.
Darby- the Darby parade will go down main being lead by the VIP trolley up 9th st to the Hilldale Plaza.
when both Parades meet at about 1pm ( about) a baseball team ( high school or little league) will run on to the plaza lot where the infield is painted out. One of the Stars will pitch a ball to the little leaguer to start off the dedication ceremony
The dedication ceremony will the commence with the Phila Sports Hall of Fame running the speeches .
In addition to the paid VIP tours coming from deep west Philadelphia (9am+) and University City (9:30am)regular antique trolley loop operations start at 10am and then run every 15 minutes on a half an hour guided history tour between Yeadon Loop, Darby, Colwyn and Elmwood Carbarn in SW Philly till 4pm, the length off allll the OcTrolleyFest associated events. This special trolley operation will make limited marked stops connecting many different historic sites, tours and events allowing riders to use the trolley to get from one site to another including primarily the Hilldale dedication

We are planning on selling space in our program book for $10 a business card size, 20 for a 1/4 page and up.
We also hope to have vendors at the site selling food and memorabilia.

We need everyone's assistance, from donations to food, water, connections with celebrities etc.
Please let us know, 10/14 can be one of the greatest days in history for our boroughs and WE can make it happen!!!!
